In this episode we are joined byNicola Wilson, a Lead Clinical Educator at Great Ormond Street Hospital. We discuss the history of GOSH, the highs and lows of working in that environment, the importance of a hospital designed specifically for children, and the steps it is taking to be more sustainable. As a paediatric nurse Nicola has worked in several different hospitals principally within neurosciences. Over the last decade she has worked within education becoming a qualified teacher and enjoying the practical aspects of this role from facilitating learning alongside staff at the patient’s bedside to supporting a team of educators across the trust. She has a particular interest in using education to support quality improvement projects that will have a positive benefit on patient care, staff well-being and the environment.
