Overview
Our Green Futures Events offer students, recent school leavers and event adults wanting to retrain the invaluable opportunity to explore careers and pathways within the sustainability sector, sparking interest in roles that directly contribute to a healthier planet. As we push toward net-zero goals, demand for “green skills”—knowledge and abilities that support sustainable development and environmental stewardship—is rapidly increasing.
However, because green jobs are often absent from traditional curricula, students may miss the chance to understand or even imagine themselves in these future-focused roles. We aim to bridge this gap, giving future employees direct insights into careers in areas such as renewable energy, environmental policy, sustainable design, conservation, engineering, rewilding and more.
The event empowers the next generation to not only envision but actively participate in building a sustainable future, ensuring they are prepared to meet the challenges of a changing world and contribute meaningfully to the global climate effort. It also provides a unique opportunity for businesses to engage directly with the employees of the future in a meaningful and engaging way.
Key Elements
The Green Futures Event offers students an engaging and comprehensive look into sustainability careers through three main elements: a career fair, talks from industry professionals, and hands-on workshops.
